About Get Fit Live Fit

Whether you want to get into shape, improve your current fitness level, set a personal record, or just live a healthy lifestyle, it is the goal of Get Fit Live Fit Training Programs to help you achieve your very best! Our purpose is to be the metro area’s #1 training program for both beginner and experienced walkers and runners from the 5k to the Marathon.

Walking and Running will be the core focus of Get Fit Live Fit, while program activities will include an online daily training manual, weekly training tips and a weekly educational session for all local residents participating in our customized training sessions. Health and wellness clinical topics will include multi-level training techniques, injury prevention, strength training, core conditioning, nutrition, training with a HR Monitor and more.

For those participating in one of our 3 local training sessions during the calendar year, each session will be an experience for participants. Qualified and experienced program coordinators and pace leaders will be at each practice session to provide leadership, resources and motivation.

Participants will train in a group atmosphere during each session. These programs are designed to educate and motivate, with fun and camaraderie always on the mind.

It will be easy to reach your goals with the support you'll get and the friends you'll make. There are several different programs to choose from. Within each program, there will be a number of different pace groups.

Try one of our many multi-level pre-written training programs for walkers and runners looking to train for a 5k, 10k, Half-Marathon & Marathon! If you’re local, just purchase one of these and join us on Wednesdays and Saturdays with our training group! We also have programs for Strength & Conditioning, Flexibility and Injury Prevention, Nutrition Programs and more!

Group Training

Get Fit Live Fit Group Training offers customized training programs for local residents of the Portland, OR & Vancouver, WA metro areas. If it is your goal to begin walking or running or if you are currently an experienced walker or runner and want to improve your time and performance, we offer customized 12-week training schedules for you. Programs range from the 5k to Half-Marathon distance and are aimed at particular local races coinciding with session completion. Essential program features include an individualized training program, twice-weekly coached workout sessions, and access to weekly educational seminars.

Personal Programs

Get Fit Live Fit Personalized Program offerings are available to those individuals who desire a one-on-one approach to reaching their running, walking, nutrition and/or fitness goals. If the group training option is not for you or you want more detail than what our online programs offer, you should consider signing up for a Personalized Training program. Our experts can meet with you in person or via phone/email to gain all of the necessary information they need to personalize a program designed to meet your specific goals. Through these programs, you will have much more constant contact with the expert which is a big plus if that's what you desire!

Injury Prevention Clinics from Therapeutic Associates

Establishing a BALANCE between your strength, flexibility and training is the Key to Success in any sporting activity or running/walking regime. At Therapeutic Associates Inc, we have designed an INJURY PREVENTION CLINIC to start off your training on the right foot, alleviate any aches or pains, and assure that you are on the correct path to a healthy fitness regime.

Program Components:

  • The program starts with a quick intake of your history, including your current training, injuries and stretching habits.
  • We then move into a flexibility screening, lower extremity strength testing and assessment of your balance/proprioception.
  • This is followed by instruction in specific exercises, based on our findings, which are unique to your individual needs.
  • Next we move on to video analysis to assess your biomechanical presentation and to assure that you are in the right shoe for your foot type and movement pattern.
  • We then replay the video with you, providing education on normal biomechanics and how you present in motion.

You leave the session after approximately 45 minutes of one on one time, with an exercise program, the results of your video analysis and the feeling of support from a team that cares about your health and SUCCESS in achieving your fitness goals.
